PETROLEUM RENDEZVOUS

During the first half of 2011 average consumer prices for petrol in Russia have grown by more than 11%. According to Federal State Statistics Service  the cost of A-76 petrol in January-June has grown by 16%, Ai-92 – by 10,4%, Ai-95 – by 9,8%, diesel fuel – even by 26,6%.

The increase of consumer petrol prices was noted in the majority of the RF subjects, including the capital. Notwithstanding the efforts of the authorities to stabilize the prices for fuel, they continue to grow slow but steady. In addition, from time to time Russia faces petrol deficit. How is it possible in raw material producing country? What shall we expect from Russian oil-products market in future? Analysts are sure – there will not be any decrease of the prices in the long view.

FINAL NOTICE TO INSIDERS

The process of state counteraction to the insiders in Russia has lasted for many years with variable success. Use of closed intracorporative information with the aim of enriching at the stock exchange is one of the main obstacles for the Russian developing economy to go to the civilized level. After additional conditions to law  №224-FL “On counteraction to the use of the insider information  and manipulation by the market”, which  has existed for a year already came into force on July,31, there begins a new, probably, the most difficult stage of fight against insiders – practical realization of the legislation regulation.

At the same time, Russian resorts have problem, which already became chronic: worn out infrastructure, lack of federal funds, ineffective investments as well as the pressure of transportation expenses that has the impact on quality-price ratio.

Egypt has for many years played the role of touristic «Mecca» for our citizens and dwellers of the whole post-Soviet space due to its cheapness and availability of tours.

Only last year the number of Russian citizens who has a rest in Egypt reached 2 million people. However, Russian tourists, as well as Russian tour operators, were not interested in political scientists’ forecasts and forgot that the region of Middle East and North Africa can by right be considered the most dangerous region on the planet. The price of this unconcern was too high. Revolution events in Tunisia, Egypt and then in Libya led to temporal closing of touristic flows into these countries and made Russia tour operators bear serious losses.

HOW TO START A TOURISM BUSINESS

At present the consolidation of tourism industry is growing, that is why a new tour operator will have serious barriers. Certain studies revealed that 87% of Moscow tourists choosing a tour operator take into consideration notoriety and the period of presence at the market. 

That is why at present the optimal concept for a tour operator is to apply to a tour agency that realizes the products of famous tour operators for a certain fee.  The tour agency will not have significant barriers to enter the market.  Tour agency fee is at the average about 10% of a tour cost. The recommendation is to cooperate with several tour operators, which specialize at different budget orientations.

The method of project financing is more flexible than traditional forms of investment, and allows realizing especially big projects attracting finances from different sources, and also equally distribute risks between all initiators of the projects in compliance with their abilities. NEW RELAXATION OF RESTRICTIONS FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS

End of the first half of the year was marked by an important change in regulating of work of foreign companies-issuers on the Russian territory. At the end of June President Dmitry Medvedev approved the bills to article 309 of the Internal Revenue Code of the RF.
